06/2009:

The Humpback Code was just announced as a finalist in the Blue Ocean Film Festival.  It is up for awards in two categories: Excellence in Underwater Cinematography and Marine Animal Behavior.  The festival will take place in Savannah, Georgia from June 10-14th.

 

05/2009:

Jason was in Lake Tahoe filming the Super Aviator submarine while it was stationed in Cave Rock testing out it's new systems. It was a fun-filled week with visits from shark scientist Dr. Eugeneie Clark, retired Navy Captain Alfred S. McLaren and submarine engineer and pioneer Phil Nuytten. 04/2009:
Jason recently got back from a trip to Palmyra atoll with the Nature Conservancy. Palmyra is a US Marine National Monument filled with a spectacular diversity of marine life, and has very limited access. Fortune smiled upon Jason who spent ten days documenting the TNC research team conducting a ecological marine census of life around Palmyra. Jason was filming with his new Red camera and Aquavideo housing. Stay tuned for broadcast dates for this amazing footage!  


02/2009:
This winter Jason and Stephanie returned to Maui to film some of its most popular seasonal residents, Humpback whales. Jason spent January and February capturing new HD images on the Red camera. Jason also spoke at the fundraising event Whale Quest at Kapalua resort, Maui where he received a standing ovation for his presentation of a video catalog of humpback whale behaviours. 08/2008:
Jason is currently working in Southeast Alaska, on a BBC shoot focused on humpback whales and marine life for the new series "Earth's Great Events". 

06/2008:
Jason’s underwater cinematography can be seen in the new documentary ‘Cracking the Humpback Code’ this summer as part of the Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom series on Animal Planet.
